Europaforum - Hässleholm

Europaforum
MENY

Sweden's leading forum for European affairs

Europaforum Hässleholm started as a half day seminar in 2003 by Lorenz Pucher. Since then the forum has grown and is today Sweden’s leading venue for European affairs. Citizens, politicians, experts and scientists gather in Hässleholm once a year to discuss current affairs from a European perspective.

Europaforum Hässleholm promotes an open dialogue between the public and decision-makers. During seminars and panel discussions, our visitors get to participate in the dialogue and widen their knowledge about the EU. All events are free and open to the public.

In our endeavour to increase younger people’s interest in the EU we also invite students to our seminars and lectures.

Since 2013 Europaforum Hässleholm has been visited by approximately 1,200 people and 275 speakers. The event is broadcasted by national tv, radio och newspappers, reaching out to almost two million people.

"It's been very interesting following the development of Europaforum during the past ten years. For each year that has elapsed, the event has attracted more and more people to discuss current European affairs. Particularly rewarding is the fact that many students are participating and that it’s free and open to the public. It seems sometimes as if Sweden is far away from Brussels, but with Europaforum, the distance becomes considerably shorter."

Cecilia Malmström, European Commissioner
